WHAT IS THE "RACE FOR GRACE"?

2008 was the 6th ANNUAL "Race For Grace".

The annual RACE FOR GRACE 5K RUN / WALK is held to raise community awareness and help support a cure for the children of Vermont with Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation depends on public support to carry out its life-saving programs. They support more than 110 CF care centers which provide high quality specialized care for those with CF, provide CF Pharmacy Services, strive to develop the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with this disease.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation has been consistently recognized as one of the top health organizations in the country. According to the Wall Street Journal's Smart Money magazine, the CF Foundation is a charity that "won't waste your money" out of every dollar donated 91 cents goes toward what it should, research to find a cure!

WHO IS GRACE?

"Hi! I am Grace!"

Grace is the daughter of Jim and Liz Livingston of Ludlow, VT
and was born with Cystic Fibrosis.

WHY FIGHT CYSTIC FIBROSIS?

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) is the number one genetic killer of children and young adults. The defective gene was discovered in 1989, solving half the battle. With over 20 drugs in development, progress is being made toward a cure. Scientists have recently sequenced the largest bacterial genome which will lead to new life-saving treatments. By giving a little of your time or money, you can make a difference in the lives of children with CF, helping us add tomorrows everyday.
